Today i am reviewing Hello Glow Liquid Gold Hair Perfecting Serum. After i reviewed Hello Glow Whitening Plus Facial Polish i was asked by the brand that they are coming out with a new product for hair. Would i be interested to review it? And i was like why not sure‚ since the claims of this serum was what i needed most. I proudly would like to tell you all that i am the first ever blogger reviewing this product. Though this is sent to me as a PR Sample but it hasn't changed my honesty towards my readers. Read below what i have to say about this product.

The Hello Glow Liquid Gold is available in 50g bottle. It has a pump so its easy for you to get the desired amount. The bottle is made of purple semi transparent packaging and you could see how much you have used up. The bottle is covered with a black paper which has the name and details written on it. The serum has a detectable rosemary scent. Since i love Italian herbs so i don't find the scent offensive. The bottle is travel friendly though i will advice you not to travel with it. since there is always a chance of leakage.

The first thing i noticed on the bottle when i first got it was its claims on giving you thick‚ shiny and glossy hair. And that's exactly what every girl wants. So i wanted to try out this product immediately. To be honest i have used this product only twice in ten days‚ since you have to shampoo afterwards and where i live its really cold so its hard taking a shower every other day :P


To tell you about my hair first before telling what this serum actually did for me. I have very dry‚ coarse‚ dull and frizzy wavy hair and did i mentioned i have dandruff problems too? Yikes! Like my skin the only issue i have with my hair that i find annoying is they being so dry to the point they suck in any oil i put in my hair. I have tried many shampoos and conditioner with occasional hair massages of olive oil‚ mustard oil and coconut oil. I haven't tried any hair serums or hair masks yet so its actually my first time using any hair serum.
The thing i hate about oils being very greasy on your hair leaving behind grease marks on your pillow. The regular oils though feel moisturising enough on my scalp get absorbed in 5 minutes no matter how much i use. So at last they do nothing for me else then moisturising my scalp. And the strong smell of hair oils‚ you cant seem to ignore it.


Direction for use on the Hello Glow hair serum says “Spray on to scalp and massage gently with circular motions for at least 2 minutes. Smooth through roots of hair and down to the ends. Shampoo after 10 minutes".


So i took the cap off the bottle and noticed the pump and found it very useful since now i could control the amount i want to use instead of pouring more then i actually want. I smelled the serum and it had very nice rosemary scent which wasn't strong at all. Though if you are sensitive to scents‚ you might find it offensive since it has a very unique scent. The consistency of the serum is more like of oils since it is made of 4 oils rosemary essential oil‚ rice bran oil‚ olive oil‚ coconut oil. The serum has a clear color. I pumped 3 pumps of the serum in my hand‚ warmed it a little in my palm and massaged it in circular motion on to my scalp. Three pumps were not enough to cover up whole of my scalp‚ so i took three more pumps and massaged in my hair. At the end i used 8-9 pumps of the serum to cover up my whole scalp while smoothing down my hair. I left the serum on my hair for about half hour and during this whole time the serum felt very calming‚ the scent didn't lingered and the serum didn't transfered to anything. While i was doing shampoo the serum washed away in one wash as compared to when i have applied oil i need to shampoo twice to take the greasiness off my hair.


After i dried my hair i felt that the dandruff on my scalp reduced quite a bit‚ since the serum's claims of having rosemary oil that combats dandruff and to soothe the scalp was true. I also saw my dull hair having a natural sheen to them. After 2 uses of this serum i feel the dandruff on my scalp lessen. My thin hair look quite healthy and they have gotten a natural sheen to them. The only flaw i think of is that the effects are not long lasting. You may lose the shine in 2-3 days and if your hair are too dry they may become dull again. I suggest you to use the serum twice a week and not more then that.

You hair become thick with continuous use.

The serum is not oily so pretties with oily scalp can use it.
It is good for dry scalp too.

The serum feels very lightweight and calming.

It reduces your dandruff to some extent.

The pump is very useful in dispensing the desired amount.

For those with dry scalp few pumps of this serum wont be enough.

I would rate it a 4.5/5.
