The i love stage – eyeshadow base has to get on stage! it can be applied diversely either as primer for concealers or eye shadows. the creamy texture does not crease, makes the eye shadow last longer and appear much more color intensive. for an even eye make-up waiting for its gig on stage!

Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow base comes in a sleek clear plastic packaging. It comes with a doe foot applicator. The packaging is very sturdy and it is very travel friendly. It contains 4ml of product which is very decent. The packaging is the size of mua intense kisses glosses or about the length of your middle finger.

As i mentioned above i needed something that will intensify the pigmentation of my Makeup Revolution Eyeshadows. Whats better then a primer! People do prefer using concealer on eyelids too. But for me its a little too much. I want something light on my eyelids. So i went with Essence eyeshadow base. It is a yellow based primer. And helps in neutralising any redness or pigmentation on your lids. It also covers any visible veins on your eyelids and this yellow based shade is perfect for girls with light to medium skin since it blends to your skin shade.Texture wise its quite thick and creamy. It blends easily. I apply it directly with the doe foot applicator on my eyelids and then blend it out with my finger. Since it has a matte finish you can skip the extra step of setting it with a powder. As for increasing the pigmentation of my eyeshadows it just wowed me. I was impressed how my eyeshadows looked more brighter with this base underneath when they hardly showed on my eyes without any eyeshadow base(in swatches i have used my already pigmented eyeshadows to show you the difference how this eyeshadow base pushes pigmented eyeshadows to the next step). It not only increases the pigmentation of my eyeshadows but also help those chalky‚patchy‚ hard to blend eyeshadows blend easily. As for its use as primer for concealer. I apply a primer and foundation underneath concealer so i don't feel the need of using it as a primer for concealer. As for creasing. Yes‚ when i apply my eyeshadow over this base they don't crease easily. And as for staying power‚ my eyeshadows on their own without a base last me easily for 5 to 6 hours and with this underneath it does give a +3 to 4 hours of staying power. For someone who thinks urban decay primer potion and too faced shadow insurance is too expensive. Then this Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base is a good buy.

I think its a good eyeshadow base if you want a punch of color from your bland eyeshadows. I definitely recommend this.
