Carli's taste for chic refinement and modern elegance inspired her to select a collection of earthy neutrals and plummy brown shadows with four face highlighters that complement every skin tone. The mix of mattes and shimmers makes it easy to go from amped-up evening intensity to toned-down daytime options.

The Carli Bybel eyeshadow palette is available in white and grey cardboard packaging which contains 14 eyeshadows and highlighters inside and a decent size mirror. The palette is very chic just like Carli's taste as the palette claims. The packaging is sleek and compact‚ doesn't take much space on your vanity and in your beauty bag. The eyeshadow and highlighters have descent size pan and it contains ten eyeshadows and four highlighters. Due to the compactness of the palette, it is very travel-friendly and you can easily carry it in your beauty bag.

If you follow me on my facebook page‚ you would know what was my initial response on this palette. When I first swatched it on my hands‚ I found it very chalky and not nicely pigmented since I had very high hopes from this palette. I was kind of heartbroken. Then, one day when I was playing with my Makeup I thought to compare its formula with my other drugstore eyeshadow palettes. I found its formula far better‚ when I compared it with my other BH Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes and I was in awe that how pigmented and soft textured it has as compared to my other BH palettes. And just like that, I started loving this palette.

I don't think I have used my any other palette as much as I have used this one. It has become my go-to palette because of it being very wearable for day to day use. The brown and mauve plum toned eyeshadows are very suitable for our brown eyes. Those of you who think no eyeshadow really suits you‚ I will recommend brown and plum shades. The eye looks you can create with this palette are endless. You can do a very light day appropriate eye look with this and you can also create a smokey night time appropriate eye look. The thing I like most about this palette is that you can use highlighters as eyeshadows and some eyeshadows as highlighters. You can also intensify the pigment of any matte or shimmer eyeshadow by wetting your brush before applying it.

The texture of the eyeshadows is very smooth‚ to the point of being powdery. It does kick off a lot of excess powder when you put your brush in it‚ but the kick-off  isn't that much. The pigmentation is very good‚ up to the standards of high-end eyeshadow palettes. It contains an equal number of matte and shimmery eyeshadows. I am actually shocked to see that the mattes is equally pigmented as the shimmers. The eyeshadows blend in smoothly and don't look patchy at all. The shimmer eyeshadows apply more smoothly with minimum kick off‚ whereas the matte shades are a bit more powdery. The highlighter and shimmers don't have empowering specs of shimmer instead they give off a beautiful sheen with little specs of shimmer. Using a good primer underneath these eyeshadows have lasted good 8-12 hours on my eyes without fading away.

The first row contains one shimmer and four matte eyeshadows according to BH cosmetics. The first shade is a beautiful creamy coloured matte shade. I would not say it is completely matte because I can see a speck or two of shimmer in it. That can also be because of other shimmery eyeshadows. This shade is perfect to define your brow bone or set your eyelid primer. The second shade is a beautiful pink champagne shimmer eyeshadow. I love using this shade as my lid shade. The third shade is a beautiful pale mauve brown eyeshadow which acts as a perfect transition shade for me. The fourth shade is a beautiful purple mauve shade you can blend in you crease to create an effortless eye look with the pink champagne shade in  your crease. It is my favourite shade in the palette. The last shade is a beautiful plum shade, which is matte and you can blend it on your lash line or the outer corner of your eye to give depth to your eye look.

The second row contains one matte and four shimmers. To be honest, I love the top mauve plum row more,  but this copper bronzed row gold isn't less beautiful. If you love shades of metal you will definitely love this. First, shade is a beautiful champagne shade with a hint of gold in it. It looks so pretty on the eyelids and since the shimmery eyeshadows have a beautiful sheen than being too shimmery‚ so you can use it as a highlight for face too. The second shade is a beautiful warm gold shade for gold lovers‚ perfect shade for the lid. Next is bronze shade,  which is a shimmer and it is very wearable even for those who find metallic shades intimidating. The fourth shade is a true copper shade which you can easily incorporate into a bold eye look. Last shade is a matte deep cool brown which makes a great crease colour for cut crease eye looks.

The last row consists of four highlighters which have generous pan size. They have highlighter for every complexion. The first shade is a beautiful pink frost highlight that will look beautiful on fair to light skin tone. In the pan, it does look a little like the pink champagne shade in the first row. However,  it is more on the pink side and definitely more frosty. The second highlighter is a true champagne colour which looks flattering on light to medium complexion. It is my personal favourite shade, but currently, I am at my lightest and it looks a bit dark on me. The third shade is a warm true gold highlight which looks a lot like the gold in the second row‚ but is a very warm gold shade and complements medium to tan skin tones. Last shade is a beautiful bronzed shade that will look gorgeous as a highlighter on deep dark skin tones,  but it can also work as a shimmery bronzer for lighter skin tones.

Cons

Kicks off excess powder

This is the look I did use top mauve plum row.  I used mauve brown shade as my transition shade.  Then I blended the purple mauve shade in my crease and used the plum shade in my outer corner.  I applied the pink champagne shade to the inner two third of my eye and used the champagne highlighter to highlight my inner corner and brow bone.  I lightly smudged plum shade on my lower lash and finished it off with liner, mascara and falsies. 

I would rate it 4. 8/5. 

I minus 0. 2 because of the excess powder kick off.  I definitely recommend this palette. It is by far the best drugstore palette I have ever tried.  I will definitely repurchase it.
