Wet N Wild Color Icon Bronzer SPF 15 In Reserve Your Cabana - Review & Swatches

Hi pretties.. Today i am reviewing my first bought highlighter ever the Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana Bronzer. As it is written as Bronzer but it is infact a highlighter. You might think that it will be a bronzer then for pale ladies!! Still no. It will be still highlighter for you no matter how fair you are. This highlighter was a Love at First Sight. I am in no denial of the each rupees i spent on it. Read below what i have to say about this highlighter.

Product Description

Add a golden glow and a touch of luminosity to any complexion for a radiant, sun-kissed look. Special micronized blend of treated nylon powders adhere to skin to provide long-lasting, blendable color. Contains SPF 15 to protect skin from harmful UVB rays. Not tested on animals and cruelty free. The Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer comes in 3 shades Bikini contest‚ Ticket to Brazil and Reserve your cabana. The former two are actual bronzers but Reserve your cabana is a highlighter.

Product and Packaging

It comes in a plastic compact with transparent top lid and bronzed brown bottom. The packaging looks and feel very cheap. It doesn't shuts securely so i will suggest you that it is in no way travel friendly( but you can not expect more from a $3 product). Want to know why? Well you will know that when you read down further below. It contains 13 grams of product which is quite decent. It has no scent.

My Review

When i ordered this from an online page i was quite excited to get the package. But when my package finally arrived and i open it. There was this powder scattered every where. When i opened the highlighter my all happiness was shattered into million pieces like the highlighter in the compact was. I was very sad to see my Reserve your cabana highlighter all shattered and alot of it wasted. I thought to give some of the powder left in the compact a go. When i swatched it i was so happy to see how pretty highlighter it is. It is a beautiful champagne gold highlighter with no visible shimmer or glitter. When you blend it nicely all you are left with is this beautiful sheen which will look flattering on all complexions. I can not say exactly about fall outs because my highlighter was infact shattered into a fine powder so it does has some fall outs when i try to pick it up with my brush and apply it on my face. Texture wise it has a very creamy buttery formula. It lasts me good 5 to 6 hours before fading away completely. I use it mostly to highlight the top of my cheek bones‚ under my brow bone‚ inner eye corner‚nose‚ chin and the centre of my forehead. It highlights them all beautifully and comes off as a beautiful champagne sheen. I have also used it once to set my under eye concealer and it does the job greatly without looking like glittery under eyes. I would suggest using it that way only if you want overly brightened under eyes. It doesn't emphasise pores or fine lines. It has a SPF 15 in it though it doesn't gives a white cast during flash photography but it does look a little whitish during night time. Over all i am really impressed by this highlighter and i think it is better then many high end highlighters. I have heard people saying that it is a good dupe of Mary loumanizer by The Balm and the Hourglass Ambient lighting powder in Luminous. I would say maybe not a perfect dupe for them but atleast 10 times cheaper it is.

Cheap packaging

Not travel friendly

After fixing it...

Note: please don't try to fix it with rubbing Alcohol or hand sanitiser if you break it. Because it will completely change its texture and it will be hard to apply it.

Final Verdict

I would rate it a 4.8/5.

It is a great highlighter and i will definitely recommend this. I will definitely purchase it again if i will be confirmed that it wouldn't break during delivery.
