Hey everyone,

I hope you all are well. Today I am going to share my reviews on Real Techniques Eyes Starter Set. I am probably very late to do this review because many people have already done it and many of you already own this brush set. However, I still want to review in case some of you are making up your mind to buy this brush set or not.

Product & Packaging

The brush set comes in a strong transparent plastic packaging, which is very secure and keeps the brushes safe from any breakage. There is the white panoramic case inside, which is like a leather brush carrying bag and it holds the brushes. There are dividers inside made of rubber that store the brushes. According to the brand, the case is perfect for storing and carrying your brushes and also help to dry them. I totally agree with it. The brushes have a sleek purple metal body with rubber bottom. There are five brushes in total inside the set and they are very lightweight and good quality.

My Review

If you want to have the perfect makeup look like done by top makeup artists, you will need three things: good makeup skills, good makeup products and good makeup brushes. It is not possible to achieve the perfect makeup look without good makeup tools. This brush set is a gift from my sister and I absolutely love it. I have other brush sets and individual brushes, but I personally like this set the most. If you are new to makeup and don't want to invest too much in eye brushes, I will say just get this brush set and these five brushes are enough to create any makeup look.

Since I have been using these brushes, I have noticed that I hardly use any other eye brushes. The bristles of the brushes are very soft and well made, the quality is really nice and this set is worth investing in. I have washed these brushes more than six times now and they are still good as new and I didn't saw them losing any bristles unlike my other brushes, which usually start losing bristles after one to two washes.

The set contains all the basic brushes you need. It has a big crease brush, which is excellent for putting on your eye primer and place down base eyeshadows. Next, the tapered fluffy brush is perfect for blending eyeshadows. The accent brush is tiny and precise great for packing on lid colors and highlighting. The angle brush helps to make your eyebrows on point and the liner brush is perfect for applying eyeliner.

Deluxe Crease Brush

For me, this is the most multi-tasking brush in the set and I love it. I blend out my eye primer using this brush then I set my eyes with this as well. After placing all the shadows I use this brush to blend out all the eyeshadows so the look is flawless. You don't have to use it for eyes only. It is great for doing precise face contouring, spot concealing, packing on powder to your face and also for highlighter application. Due to its diverse use, this is my most favourite brush in the set.

Base Shadow Brush

This is the most perfect precise blending brush I have ever seen. It's nicely tapered, so it fits into the crease of your eyes perfectly. It is great for packing on eyeshadows as well as blending them out. You can also use this brush to blend eyeshadows on your lower lash line since it has a perfect size. You can also use this brush for nose contouring and highlight.

Accent Brush

It is the perfect eyeshadow packing brush for your lid. Just wet your brush with some water or setting spray and use this brush to pack on shimmery eyeshadows on your lid. Since it has a very small size, I love using this brush to highlight my inner corner and brow bone. You can also use this brush to pack on eyeshadows on your outer corner of the crease for smoked out cat eye look.

Fine Liner Brush

If you are a big fan of gel liners, this brush will help in the precise application of winged eyeliner. I don't use gel liners anymore, so I like using it to precise pack on glitter eyeshadows. You can also use this brush for tight lining.

Brow Brush

I am a big fan of using powder brow products, so this is the reason why I like this brush. It makes filling in your brows so easy. This brush is also great for applying gel eyeliners or using eyeshadows for smudged liner looks. You can also use this brush to apply eyeshadow to your lower lash line.

Final Verdict

I will rate this brush set a 5/5.

I know the price point of this brush set is a little intriguing and you might think that in this budget you can buy a brush set that will have more brushes than five and would sound like a good deal. However, brushes are a one-time investment only and unlike makeup products, they don't expire so they last for years. So, why not invest in the good quality ones that last you a long time. And these five brushes according to me are all you need for any eye look. They retail for 16$ and in Pakistan, they are available for 2000Rs to 2500Rs, which I think is a very decent price. Multiple online stores carry this brush set and I definitely recommend it to you all.
