Hope you all are in best of your health. Today i am reviewing the Elf Lipstick in Sociable. Which was among the first few cheap drugstore lipsticks i ever bought. Read below what i have to say about this lipstick.

Product & Packaging

The Elf Essential Lipsticks come in sleek metallic grey packaging. It has a little clear patch on the centre of the packaging through which you can see the color of lipstick. The name of the lipstick shade is written on a sticker which is present at the bottom. The lipstick doesn't twist in and out easily and it gets stuck. It contains 0.12 ounce of product. These shut securely so they are travel friendly. The lipstick has a faint fruity smell.

My Review

The shade i got in Sociable is a very bright hot pink. It has a very creamy texture. It has very fine shimmer particles in it. Though they feel really gritty on your lips and when you try to smack your lips together you can feel those shimmery particles on your lips as tiny grains. Pigmentation wise it has good pigmentation. Full color in single swipe. When i first apply it it applies very evenly and is quite moisturising. But has alot of shimmer in it so if you don't like shimmery lipsticks you should probably not buy this. It has a very glossy shimmery finish when you first apply it. But after 2-3 hours it starts to feel very dry and patchy. Your lips feel cracked and the lipstick flakes away. The pigmentation is still there even after eating and drinking but your lips look very chapped and flaky. I would suggest you to wear a lip balm underneath it or top this off with a clear lip gloss to avoid the horrific sight. I can see this working for you greatly if you are someone who loves to apply gloss over their lipsticks and like shimmery lipsticks. The lasting power is good. It will last you good 6 to 8 hours until it disappears completely.

Final Verdict

I would rate it a 3.5/5.

If it didn't worked for me it does not means it will not work for you. I will definitely recommend these lipsticks if any of the pros will work for you. I am not going to purchase these again. I brought mine for Rs350 from Trends N Brands. You can order these from any facebook page.
